Nextcloud Groupware is a set of four applications: Calendar, Contacts, Deck and Mail.

Calendar

The Calendar app allows you to manage your events. Calendars can be shared with other users and groups and the share can be read-only or allow write access.

A few feature highlights of the Calendar app:

  • Access and synchronize your calendars from any client, being it your smartphone, laptop or desktop computer as it supports the widespread CalDAV protocol.
  • Use the appointments app to let people schedule an appointment with you.
  • Subscribe to external calendars.
  • Book rooms for your meetings.
  • Benefit from email autocompletion, thanks to the integration with Contacts, when looking for invitees.
  • Set the working hours in which you are available and your next time-off period. Your status and availability will be adjusted in consequence.
  • Create a Talk room in one click for your remote meetings.
  • Keep your events organized with tags, colors and reminders.
  • Attach documents directly from Nextcloud Files.

Contacts

The Contacts app allows you to manage your address book. These address books can be shared and synced across all your devices for an easy, centralized management.

A few feature highlights of the Contacts app:

  • Create as many address books as you need. A system address book will be created by default with all the internal users.
  • Access, sync and edit your address books from any device, as it has full support for the CardDAV standard.
  • Share the address books with your peers
  • Organize your contacts within an address book in groups and perform bulk actions on them, such as send an email.
  • Import from vcf single contacts or an entire address book.
  • Export to vcf single contacts or an entire address book.
  • Define manager / managee relationships and interactively explore the organization chart
  • Leverage Circles, a powerful user grouping options for collaboration across departments and or teams

Deck

Nextcloud Deck is a project management application, based on the Kanban frameworks. It is a graphical, drag & drop tool that exposes boards, lists and cards for easy project status tracking and tasks assignment

  • Create as many project boards as you need. Then share them with team members and assign read, edit, share and manage permissions to them.
  • Create lists to group tasks together and create tasks as cards.
  • Assign properties to tasks as assignee, delivery date, tags, status and comments.
  • Collaborate in real-time on a given board.
  • Drag & drop cards based on their status.
  • Describe your tasks with rich text and attach a document directly from Nextcloud Files.
  • Post a card to a conversation room or, viceversa, create a Deck card from a conversation room with one click.
  • Track activity at the board or card level and visualize important delivery dates in Nextcloud Calendar.
  • Clone, archive or export your boards seamlessly.

Mail

Nextcloud Mail is a webmail client. It is a feature-rich application that can improve your email management daily tasks with many integrations with other functionalities of the platform.

A few feature highlights of the Mail app:

  • Access your mailbox using well-known standards for sending (SMTP) and retrieving (IMAP) your emails.
  • Access all your email accounts thanks to the multi-account capability.
  • Convert an email to a task or an event with one click.
  • Improve security by using end-to-end encryption methods such as OpenPGP and S/MIME.
  • Make your emails title and body searchable in the platform-wide Unified Search framework.
  • Auto-complete your recipient addresses thanks to the integration with Contacts.
  • Snooze and send later you emails.
  • Setup an autoresponder graphically or manually edit your Sieve rules for maximum flexibility.
  • Format your text as you type and customize your signature.
  • Provide quick access links to other entities in the platform (conversation, task, project board, etc, document ..) with the Smart Picker.
  • Send bulk emails to your contacts based on their group or contact group.
